Expedition to Egypt

The Egypt VR experience where you do not watch: you escape

Some VR trips to Egypt are watched from a seat. Not this one: your team goes into the pyramid with 60 minutes to solve it. You find the way out together, or you stay inside.

In short

At Alfazone (Alfafar, 10 minutes from Valencia city centre) the “trip to Egypt in virtual reality” is a real expedition: VR escape rooms where the team appears inside the game, solves the puzzles with their hands and has 60 minutes to get out. The star is Escape The Lost Pyramid, by Ubisoft, set in the world of Assassin’s Creed Origins: Sinai, 1928, a vanished expedition and a pyramid nobody has opened since. Teams of 2 to 4, from €19 per person, with instant online booking. And if Egypt is not enough, more civilisations are waiting: Mask of the Pharaoh (fully in English) and the Mayan temple of Yucatán.

Three ways to get lost in an ancient civilisation

Three different stories, one rule: nobody here watches from the outside. Puzzles are solved with your hands, with your team at your side.

A “tour” sits you down to look at Egypt. An expedition locks you inside. Getting out is on you.

“Celebré el noveno cumpleaños de mi hijo el sábado y todo fue perfecto, organizados al máximo. Había otros cumpleaños pero no se notaba nada de descontrol como en otros sitios. La merienda de calidad, mucho personal y todo limpio. Lo importante: los niños lo pasaron en grande. ¡Lo recomiendo!”

Frequently asked questions

Is this a “virtual tour” of Egypt?

No. A tour is watched; this is played. Each expedition is a VR escape room: you appear inside the pyramid, you work the mechanisms with your hands and the clock is running. Getting out is an achievement, not a visit.

Do I need any VR experience?

None. There is a briefing with our marshals before you go in, and the team is with you through the whole session. Most groups who walk out delighted had never put on a headset before.

How many people can play?

The Lost Pyramid is played in teams of 2 or 4. If you are more, we run back-to-back waves, and comparing escape times between teams is usually the best part.

What language are the experiences in?

The puzzles are visual and physical, so language is rarely a barrier. Mask of the Pharaoh runs entirely in English. If you are an international group or on exchange in Valencia, it is the perfect pick.

Is it scary? From what age?

They are adventures, not horror: good tension (a sarcophagus creaking open, a countdown), no cheap jump scares. Recommended from age 8-10 depending on the game; the marshals adapt the session to the group.

How long does it take and how much does it cost?

The full expedition (briefing + game) is about an hour, from €19 per person. You book online with instant confirmation. And the calendar shows each day’s real occupancy: what looks free is free.
